Genuine Tours has been a dream of mine since I first started guiding tours.

I wanted to create a more personal and enjoyable experience. I wanted people to come to Croatia and have a blast, all in a laid-back, friendly atmosphere.

From your initial email to your flight back home, I’ve got you covered. I’m the mastermind behind your itinerary. Need a birthday cake for a family member? I’ll make it happen (though I won’t be baking it myself). Left your shoes at the last hotel? I’ll get them back to you. Dinner reservations? Consider it done. I’m here for whatever you need.

So, what exactly am I? Your travel agent? Tour manager? Local guide? Honestly, I’m not sure. I’m just someone who wants your time in Croatia to be unforgettable. Most people just call me Ella.

Ella actually created our whole EXTRAORDINARY 8 day trip from Zagreb to Hvar to Dubrovnik. It was for seven people.MY husband and myself and five adult kids ranging from 23 years old to 35. ThIS was a trip of a lifetime . We have been all over the world and have a vast base of comparison. This will be in our top three only because of Ella ! . Ella did everything from securing fantastic , dependable drivers in each place , beginning by picking us up at the airport ( with her ) and then weaving so many adventures throughout the trip From Truffle hunting to lake hike to blue grotto boat trips , historical educational walks through cities to unique wineries and cheese makers with tastings.

Ella even arranging perfect dinners and secured tickets for us on our transition boats and stayed on top of every activity always adding and subtracting as needed. Ella is brilliant , joyful , witty and an exceptional human being. She is trustworthy and so very capable. I have already recommended her to a number of friends. I have many who did not have as compelling , fun and fascinating trips to Croatia but now want to go back so that Ella can “immerse them in all the wonders of this remarkable country . Ella one of the treasures of Croatia !

Ella is the closest thing that Croatia have to a National Living treasure! :D If you want someone who has a great grasp of English, lots of energy and an awesome sense of humour you will be in for a treat. We were a private party of three that were picked up from Zadar and driven to Zagreb, via the Plitvice Lakes. Ella kept us entertained with lots of history and plenty of jokes thrown in to keep you entertained and amazed. I have recommended Ella to friends, knowing they will not be disappointed! :)

Beware--if you hang around Ella you're sure to laugh and love your time! She's spunky, knowledgeable, lively, humorous, and crazy fun. In 2018 and 2019 our study abroad students, my faculty colleague, and I spent multiple weeks with Ella and I cannot say enough good about her! We toured Zagreb, Plitvice Lakes, Split, Ljubljana Slovenia, and spent an absolutely delightful day trip to the Kumrovec museum. Ella wriggled her way so deep into the students' hearts that they cried when we left her. She is a gifted communicator with a knack for setting her audience at ease and whisking them into adventure.
